The Director and practice principal of County Physio Ltd is Maureen Blake BSc MCSP, Adv Cert NMA, PG Cert (Back Care Management) and is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council.
She is an accredited member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), and is also a member of PhysioFirst, the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice.
Maureen and her team of highly professional and experienced physiotherapists aim to provide a comprehensive, skilled range of physiotherapy services, Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Occupational Health Physiotherapy and are highly skilled and qualified to help individuals and businesses to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a healthy workforce.

Amy graduated from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen in 2008 before taking up her first physiotherapy post in New Zealand where she worked and developed her skills for 2 years.
6 years ago Amy joined the County Physio team and has also been the club physiotherapist for Dunbar Rugby Club for the last 6 seasons. She has experience in the use of Mulligan’s mobilisation techniques, exercise prescription and has completed KT1 and KT2 Kinesiology taping courses and also has her Pilates class instructor’s qualification. Amy has a keen interest in working with musculo-skeletal problems and sports injuries.
Peter Dawson BSC, MCSP is very experienced in all aspects of musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and has worked in both the NHS as an advanced practitioner and in private practice in the UK and the USA for over 25 years.
He has a special interest in foot and ankle problems and biomechanics which includes analysis of gait and posture. Peter is also is qualified to provide acupuncture as part of his treatment modalities. He has a wide range of skills in manual therapy and soft tissue techniques and also enjoys treating people with headaches, balance and vestibular problems with excellent results.
Louise Wallace LLB (Hons), BSc (Hons), MCSP graduated with first class honours in physiotherapy from Coventry University following a previous career as a chartered tax advisor.
She has recently finished working in Leuchie House working with clients with a range of neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and strokes. She also has experience of treating rheumatological conditions in an MSK setting and has a keen interest in rehabilitation and is looking forward to broadening her experience in MSK physiotherapy at County Physio.
Leanne graduated in 2008 with an MSc in physiotherapy and is registered with the HCPC and CSP. She has since acquired many skills in a wide range of areas. She has travelled to Australia where she gained valuable musculo-skeletal experience which includes dry-needling, Pilates, sports injuries and back pain management.
She is a welcome addition to the team and adds to the skill-mix offered.
Heather qualified with a degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in 2007. She has gained a wide range of experience in various areas of the profession including community settings, in-patient (orthopaedic rehab), paediatrics, adults, older people and mental health.
Heather is an independent Occupational Therapist and offers home visits to assess and offer advice on specialist equipment provision, home adaptation and independent living skills.
Stuart Bertram is a Remedial Massage and Sports Therapist and is the newest addition to the team at County Physio. He has gained a level 5 advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy and is registered with the STO.
Stuart uses a range of soft tissue and sport therapy techniques including remedial, sports and deep tissue massage, myofascial release, dry needling for trigger point release and joint mobilisations designed to help recovery from muscular complaints and injuries sustained in daily life.
Sports Therapy can also increase performance in your chosen sport.
Stuart has experience in working with a wide variety of people ranging from office workers to professional golfers and dancers. He has a particular interest in golf performance and related injuries.
Stuart is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Therapist.
