Welcome to County Physio in Haddington, East Lothian — recognised by many of our patients as the best physiotherapy clinic in Haddington. Our goal is simple: to provide expert care and support for all your physiotherapy needs.

Book Your Appointment

At County Physio, we offer several convenient ways to book your appointment. Choose the method that works best for you:

RESCHEDULE/CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT: You can contact us using any of the methods listed above: live chat, phone, or email. Please note that this cannot be done through the online booking system.

Pre-Appointment Instructions

To make the most of your appointment, please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow for any unexpected traffic or parking delays. Before attending, please check your booking confirmation email, which contains important details about your appointment. If you are a new client, or if you have not visited us in the last two years, it is essential that you complete the Consent Forms in advance. You will find a secure link in your email to complete these online within a few minutes. Completing this is mandatory, as it ensures we have your informed consent and provides your therapist with all the relevant medical information before your assessment. For the best results during treatment, we kindly ask that you avoid applying creams or lotions to the treatment area prior to your session.

What to Bring

Please bring any relevant medical history and documents with you to your appointment. This includes a list of your current medications, details of past treatments or surgeries, and any medical conditions that may be important for your physiotherapist to know. If you have referral letters from your GP or consultant, or recent reports such as scan or X-ray results, please bring these along too, as they can provide valuable insight into your condition. We also recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. For example, shorts are ideal for lower-limb assessments, while a vest top can be helpful for shoulder or upper-back treatments. This ensures your therapist can carry out a thorough assessment and deliver the most effective treatment.

What to Expect

During your first session, our physiotherapist will take the time to carry out a comprehensive assessment. This begins with a detailed discussion about your concerns, medical history, lifestyle, and the specific symptoms you are experiencing. Understanding your situation fully allows us to identify the root cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. The appointment will also include a physical examination, where the physiotherapist will assess your posture, movement, strength, flexibility, and any areas of discomfort. Based on these findings, we will explain our observations clearly and work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. In many cases, your session will also include some initial treatment — for example, manual therapy, targeted exercises, or pain-relieving techniques — so you can begin your recovery journey straight away.
