Meet the Physiotherapists and Remedial Massage and Sports Therapist
All the physiotherapists are Musculoskeletal (MSK) Specialists and also cover a far-reaching spectrum of specialist areas. Clients can be directed to the most appropriate therapist if requiring dedicated expert help for their problem.

Maureen Blake BSc, MCSP
Maureen is the owner and Director of County Physio which was established in 2008.
Although clinically retired, she remains actively involved in the running of the clinic, ensuring the highest standards are met.
All the therapists are experienced and highly acclaimed, providing expert treatment delivered with integrity, passion and care.

All of the physiotherapists working at County Physio have knowledge and experience in a wide range of musculo-skeletal problems including neck and back pain and general joint and muscle injuries and pain.

Peter Dawson BSc, MCSP
Peter Dawson BSc, MCSP is very experienced in all aspects of musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and has worked in both the NHS as an advanced practitioner and in private practice in the UK and the USA for over 30 years.
He currently also works in the NHS and has a special interest in foot and ankle problems and biomechanics which includes analysis of gait and posture. Peter is also qualified to provide acupuncture as part of his treatment modalities. He has a wide range of skills in manual therapy and soft tissue techniques and also enjoys treating people with headaches, balance and vestibular problems with excellent results.

Ketaki Kulkarni MSc, BPT, MCSP
Ketaki is a Chartered Physiotherapist with international experience in Musculoskeletal and Neurological rehabilitation. She holds an MSc in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University, with a specialist focus on advanced MSK and Neurorehabilitation strategies.
Clinically, she has developed particular expertise in shoulder rehab and spinal conditions, treating a diverse range of cases including postural dysfunction, chronic pain and complex trauma.
She has worked across high-volume outpatient settings, applying manual therapy, dry needling and neuromuscular re-education to deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes. At the Othopaedic and Spinal clinics she has worked in, she consistently achieved reductions in pain and functional improvements across her caseload.
Additionally, Ketaki holds certifications in Pilates, orthopaedic manual therapy and dry needling and has held public workshops on posture correction, stroke rehabilitation and obesity management.

Ifeoma Obi BMR (PT), MCSP
Ifeoma graduated from the University Of Nigeria with a BSc in Medical rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) and is a Chartered and HCPC registered physiotherapist.
She has had 10 years post-grad experience at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital gaining skills in managing a wide range of patients across many specialities including Musculoskeletal (MSK), Neurology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Surgery/ICU, Pelvic health/Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She has also worked as a home and community based physiotherapist and is committed to providing a patient- centred approach in her work.

Laura Sheldrick BSc (Hons), MCSP
Laura graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2001. She is currently working as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS as an MSK practitioner for the last 10 years. She has a special interest in low back and hip disorders, health and nutrition and is a qualified mat Pilates teacher, working towards a pre and post-natal Pilates qualification.
She has experience in orthopaedics, Stroke rehabilitation, care of the elderly and falls prevention.
She is qualified and experienced to provide Musculo-skeletal Acupuncture and has had training in Mulligan’s mobilisation with movement techniques, Kinesiology taping (KT1 and KT2) advanced, myofascial and trigger point release. Laura’s other interests include motorcycle and horse riding.

Ogbonna Obi BMR(PT), MSc OHS, MCSP
Ogbonna Obi graduated in 2008 from University of Nigeria, obtained his master’s degree in occupational health and safety from University of Port Harcourt in 2019. He is experienced in wide-ranging areas of specialties including but not limited to musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, neurological, medicine of the elderly and falls prevention physiotherapy. He has 10 years practice experience in the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and currently also works as a specialist physiotherapist in the NHS.
He is result oriented; an experienced certified spinal specialist, he applies his wide knowledge in the treatment of neck and back pain and possesses extensive skill in manual therapy, soft tissue manipulation and functional optimization.
Womens’ Health Physiotherapist

Alison Young BSc (Hons), MCSP
Alison Young BSc (Hons) graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1996. An experienced Physiotherapist who has worked mainly in Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy since graduating but over the last 10 years has specialised in Women’s Health. HCPC registered and a member of the CSP and POGP (Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy) and the Scottish Pelvic Floor Network. Worked primarily in the NHS as a highly specialised Women’s Health Physiotherapist treating all Women’s Health conditions including Ante Natal Musculoskeletal Conditions such as Pelvic and back pain. All Post Natal conditions including Abdominal muscle separation and ongoing Pelvic and back pain. Can perform Post Natal joint, tummy muscle and Pelvic floor muscle assessment. Whether vaginal birth or Caesarean Section. This is not recommended until at least 6 weeks post birth. Compassionate and understanding about the physical changes during pregnancy and child birth and especially after a traumatic birth. Can Help manage conditions such as Urinary and Faecal Incontinence, Vaginal Prolapse and Bladder dysfunctions such as overactive bladder. Extensive knowledge of the musculoskeletal changes associated with the Menopause and can offer help on how to manage these and the best forms of exercise.
Remedial Massage and Sports Therapist:

Stuart Bertram
Stuart Bertram is a Remedial Massage and Sports Therapist and gained a level 5 advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy and is registered with the STO. County Physio is delighted to have use of his services.
Stuart uses a range of soft tissue and sport therapy techniques including remedial, sports and deep tissue massage, myofascial release, dry needling for trigger point release and joint mobilisations designed to help recovery from muscular complaints and injuries sustained in daily life.
Sports Therapy can also increase performance in your chosen sport.
Stuart has experience in working with a wide variety of people ranging from office workers to professional golfers and dancers. He has a particular interest in golf performance and related injuries. Stuart is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Therapist.
